Join the Community of Global Biochar Practitioners at IBI’s Annual Training

IBI’s Biochar Academy™ is an in-person, multi-day, hands-on workforce development course designed to equip emerging and future biochar professionals with the knowledge and tools necessary for success in the biochar industry.

The IBI Biochar Academy™ is your chance to immerse yourself in all things biochar. The training is led by biochar experts and practitioners with regional knowledge to provide a unique opportunity to quickly connect with and contribute to scaling the biochar industry.

This unique experiential learning program blends presentations and demonstrations with hands-on practice, and features multiple site visits to engage with real-world biochar production and application.

Recognize the growing number of biochar production technologies, their co-products, scaling potential and more
Grasp the carbon removal marketplace and opportunities for biochar producers and farmers
Network with other biochar stakeholders working in research, farmer education, carbon removal markets, biochar production and market development
It has been an incredible week of learning and sharing so far at the International Biochar Initiative Biochar Academy at Canandaigua, New York. What a great opportunity to connect with like-minded people from over 20 countries and learn more about the biochar industry, production technologies and explore a wide variety of applications for biochar.
