Biochar Training Workshop: South Africa

IBI is thrilled to partner with the Circular Bionutrient Economy Association to deliver a biochar training in South Africa from 17–19 June, 2026.

Biochar is no longer “just soil.” In Southern Africa it’s becoming a serious industrial solution: waste management for forestry and processing residues, restoration for mines and degraded land, and new opportunities in construction and materials.

This workshop is designed for people who want to move from interest to action: how projects actually get built, what pitfalls to avoid, what feedstock/logistics realities look like, how to evaluate economics, and how to navigate carbon market pathways without getting lost or overpromising.

You’ll leave with a clearer project direction, a stronger network, and tools to communicate your project to partners, investors, and carbon market stakeholders.
