About this event

Learn more about the usage of slash and low-value wood in biochar production and the economic and ecological contributions to the state and region. Biochar may be the answer to better utilization of low-value woody biomass and other organic material, but how can the price of biochar production go down to make it more affordable/accessible to farmers and other end-users? The webinar will be lead by Dr. Raju Pokharel of the Department of Forestry, whose research focus is creating forest biomass market opportunities with biochar as an end product and how to minimize the costs. After the initial material is presented there will be a Q&A session with Dr. Pokharel and other GLBN Team members.
