National Seminar on Biochar — Status & Opportunities

India Biochar and Bioresources Network (IBBN), an organization promoted by GIZ and Ni-MSME will conduct a national seminar for promoting biochar sector in India.

Topics for discussion will include:
• biochar properties and applications
• biochar in agriculture
• biochar production techniques
• carbon credits and incentives
• R&D initiatives in biochar
• biochar for reducing global warming
• export of biochar

Two live demonstrations are planned to show the manufacture of biochar, on the evening of 17th August.
