Craig Lee has over 35 years of business experience around the formation, capitalization, and operation of startups, primarily engaged in technology, communications infrastructure, medical device, and media. He has been responsible for raising over $140 MM in capital from outside investors, and been involved with IPOs and acquisitions up to $498 MM. He has been an executive in several startups, most notably QuickFire Networks, which was acquired by Meta (then Facebook) in 2015.

During his career, he has developed strong skills in negotiating, managing, and meeting the needs of customers, partners, investors, and employees. His focus has been on creating Product-Market Fit and providing effective Go-To-Market strategies. Craig joins the board of IBI after having served as a Managing Director at Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation (DRK Foundation) where he made three grants to non-profit organizations and serving on their boards.

He is the first independent director for IBI, and he looks forward to helping IBI continue to build on its legacy and commitment to the biochar industry, and provide support to the growth of IBI programs, education, and development.
