Sofía Farías

Sofía Farías is an Earth and Environmental Scientist from UNAM. She’s always been passionate about contributing to solutions to the socio-environmental crisis. To deepen her impact, she pursued a diploma of Ecological Restoration with Social Participation.

Sofía has experience creating content for a scientific outreach organization in México since she believes knowledge and education should be available for everyone. She believes that well-informed people can take better care of the planet. Sofía has also worked as a Carbon Analyst and as part of the Project Implementation team at The Next 150, where she discovered the amazing world of biochar.

Besides her professional background, Sofía loves spending time in nature and capturing birds and wildlife through photography. She also enjoys running, exercising, gardening, and reading in her free time.
