🌱 Community Guidelines
Welcome to the International Biochar Initiative’s Community of Practice: a space created for members to connect, learn, and collaborate toward advancing biochar.
This community brings together producers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and advocates from around the world. To make this a thriving and trustworthy space for everyone, please follow these simple but important guidelines:
🌍 1. Recognize Our Shared Purpose
This community exists to share knowledge, exchange experience, and advance the responsible use of biochar worldwide. Whether you’re a researcher, producer, or practitioner, your participation strengthens our collective impact. Every question, insight, or example you share helps build global understanding.
🤝 2. Be Respectful and Inclusive
Treat others with kindness, professionalism, and respect.
Assume good intentions. We all come from diverse regions, disciplines, and experiences.
Avoid personal attacks, inflammatory language, or discrimination based on identity, geography, or professional background.
Healthy debate is welcome; disagreement should always be constructive and evidence-based.
💬 3. Contribute with Value
Please do:
Ask thoughtful questions, share data, and provide helpful insights.
Credit your sources when sharing articles, research, or images.
Be specific when you can — share context to help others learn.
Please don’t:
Post spam, advertisements, or repetitive promotions.
Share unverified claims or misinformation.
Participate in threads with unrelated topics.
Your contribution doesn’t have to be long. Even one good question or thoughtful reply may help others with what they’re seeking.
🔐 4. Respect Privacy and Intellectual Property
Only share documents, data, or images you have rights to distribute.
When citing others’ work, include the author, organization, or source link.
Respect the confidentiality here; don’t share communications or materials without permission.
⚙️ 5. Moderation and Enforcement
Moderators are here to keep discussions safe and aligned with IBI’s mission.
If content violates guidelines, moderators may:
-
