HUSK Pioneers the Future of Biochar with Advanced Co-Pyrolysis Technology!

Singapore / Southeast Asia — HUSK is a leading climate agri-tech company producing high quality biochar based fertilizers with world-class pyrolysis technology. The company is headquartered in Singapore, with established operations in Cambodia and Vietnam, delivering scalable, high-quality biochar solutions to accelerate the transition to more regenerative agriculture.

As one of the world’s first and most successful biochar companies, HUSK has already addressed the industry’s two fundamental challenges: producing consistent, high-quality, certified biochar at scale and unlocking its commercial value beyond carbon credits by creating value-add biochar based fertilizers.

Introducing the Next Phase: Co- and Post-Pyrolysis at Scale

As a pioneering company, HUSK, is excited to announce the installation of our next-generation pyrolysis technology capable of large-scale co-pyrolysis and post-pyrolysis treatment—a major leap forward for the biochar industry.

Co-pyrolysis is widely seen as the future of biochar, as it enables multiple feedstocks and nutrient sources to be processed simultaneously, embedding the macro and micro nutrients directly into the biochar matrix. This results in more consistent, higher-performance biochar based fertilisers with high nutrient content that can outperform conventional fertilizers at a competitive cost.

Post-pyrolysis treatment is equally critical, allowing precise activation, conditioning, and nutrient loading to tailor biochar based fertilisers to specific soil types and crop requirements. Together, these technologies transform biochar from a commodity into a high-performance agricultural input.

Focussing on building soil health through smart, biochar-based fertilizers tailored to farmers needs for specific crops and specific crop stages, HUSK overcomes a key adoption barrier—the belief that regenerative farming reduces income. 6 years of R&D and crop trials have shown that HUSK products improve nutrient efficiency, boost yields, create healthier soils, and increase net farmer income, creating a compelling pathway to scale regenerative agriculture.

Ready for Scaled Deployment and Strategic Partnerships

With this advanced capability, HUSK is ready to accelerate deployment through strategic partnerships with other pioneering agribusiness with excess biomass in their value chains. By collaborating with larger agribusinesses HUSK will develop biochar-based fertilizers customized for local soils, climates, and crops, supporting regenerative agriculture at scale.

Accelerating the transition to regenerative agriculture – unlocking the power of biochar

With proven operations in Southeast Asia, deep pyrolysis technology expertise, six years of experience manufacturing and distributing biochar based fertilizers and a relentless focus on farmer outcomes, HUSK is shaping the future of biochar and accelerating the transition to regenerative agriculture worldwide.

The project is underpinned by strong climate finance and long-term support. atmosfair pre-financed the pyrolysis plant and operations, and will continue to support the project through the issuance of high-quality carbon credits with a 1,000-year durability supporting both environmental integrity and financial sustainability as HUSK scales.
