THE PAST
When we started in 2006, at the World Soil Science Congress, we made a pact to focus on research, development, and demonstration. From our first conference in Australia (2007) to publishing the first Biochar Standards (2012), we’ve learned about what it takes to grow an industry.
THE PRESENT
Today, education looks like action. It’s in the hands-on training and industry networking at our Biochar Academies. The 1,000s of downloads of our Manual for Biochar Carbon Removal. It’s what is happening in the field, in your communities, every day.
OUR FUTURE
Our 2024–2030 Strategic Plan envisions a workforce skilled in biochar systems. Whether you are a student, a farmer, a researcher, biochar producer, biochar user, or considering implementing biochar in your company’s net zero strategy, your education is the key to our global net-zero targets.
