How will the information from this survey be used?

We will use this information to understand current perceptions of biochar. No individual responses from the survey will be shared publicly and you will remain anonymous, although a short report with the aggregate findings may be published. We won’t use this information to advertise, pitch, or otherwise communicate with you. 

I only know very little about biochar. Should I still participate in the survey?

Yes! If you have heard of biochar in any capacity, you can take part. Learning what professionals like you don’t know about it is an important part of why we are running this survey.

How are you ensuring that this survey stays anonymous? Will my identifying information be kept private? 

We won’t ask for your contact information, and will not store any information, compliant with GDPR. No individual responses from the survey will be shared publicly in any capacity. 

Why are you gathering this information about biochar?

We are using this information to better understand the current perceptions of biochar from multiple perspectives (corporate, academic, agricultural, etc.).

I have experience with biochar, but not in an “office job”. Should I still participate?

Absolutely! Learning from your experiences with biochar in agriculture, the field, or elsewhere is important to us. 

I’m against biochar. Should I not take the survey?

Please do take the survey! Your perspective is important and appreciated regardless of your stance. 

I was previously in a role where I interacted with biochar, but I am not now. Should I still participate?

Please do participate! While you might not be interacting with biochar now, your perspective and experience will help us understand current perceptions of biochar.
