Reciprocal Memberships

A global network becomes stronger when its regional communities are connected.

We’re very happy to share a new partnership between the International Biochar Initiative (IBI) and the International Biochar Asia Pacific Trade Association (IBAP), bringing our two communities a little closer together.

IBAP has built a growing network of practitioners, researchers, and institutions working to advance biochar across the Asia Pacific region. IBI and IBAP bring different perspectives and reach to this work, one regional, one global, but share a belief in the value of learning from one another and creating stronger connections across the biochar community.

And we’re starting with something tangible for our members.

For the next 12 months, IBI and IBAP members will have reciprocal access to each organization’s membership benefits, opening up new resources, connections, and opportunities to learn from communities beyond their own.

During this first year, we’ll also work together to:

  • Exchange speakers and expertise across webinars and educational programs
  • Explore joint webinars on topics relevant to both communities
  • Share relevant events and learning opportunities across our networks

This first year is a chance to learn what works, where our communities find the most value, and where this collaboration could take us next.

A big thank you to the IBAP team for the openness and trust in building this with us.

We’re looking forward to what we can learn and build together.
