The 5th edition of the ANZ Biochar Conference [ANZBC21] on Biochar in the Carbon Drawdown Decade, will be delivered virtually in real-time, over seven weeks from Tuesday 6th October to Wednesday 17th November. Based on the four previous ANZBC conferences, at this conference, we expect to welcome about 200 participants from across Australia and Internationally.

Presenters from academia, industry, government and non-government organisations will present on their research and commercial projects on our 5 Topic areas including; Food; Fibre and Recreation; Energy; Infrastructure; Drawdown Markets; and Biosphere Standards (air, soil, water, char analysis). Sub-topics include, plant, tree, animal health and productivity; golf courses, parks and gardens, roof gardens, advanced pyrolysis and gasification technologies, synergies with other negative emissions technologies (NETs), asphalt and concrete, biochar standards and testing requirements.

Conference Details:

A two half-day conference will kick off ANZBC21, on Tuesday 5th & Wednesday 6th October, WA Time, consisting of our keynote presentations including lectures, oral presentations, and an online exhibition.

This will then be followed by a 6-week Topic Area Series.
When: Every Wednesday from 13th October – Wednesday 17th November
Time: 1pm – 4.30pm AEST
What: Each week’s sessions will cover a specific topic area and will feature our expert line-up of speakers. This will include, presentations and Q & A’s.  An online exhibition and networking opportunities will also be available.

Of course, we don’t expect everyone will be able to attend every Wednesday session. If you miss any of the webinars (or simply want to watch again), no problem. All sessions will be recorded and available to registrants within a couple days if you cannot join us live.

The conference will provide a forum for leading political, corporate, academic and financial participants to discuss recent developments, and set up collaborations.Virtual / Online
